Something Fun to Do: Active Gifts for Kids
The AirFort inflates in about 30 seconds, and kids will play in it for hours. It makes a fun hideout for reading, movie nights, and sleepovers!
This stunt plane version beats the original stomp rocket, in my opinion. It doesn’t get stuck on the roof or land in a neighbor’s yard, and kids (and adults) love it just as much!
A huge hit for all ages! My kids (ages 2 to 7 at the time) have played endless games of “floor is lava” and added these to obstacle courses in the backyard and basement. They’re also great for teaching toddlers colors.
This foldable gymnastics bar will get used for years, and it folds up when you need the space back.
This was a big family gift for us! We set up this ninja course between two trees in the backyard. You can also hang the obstacles from eyehooks on a basement ceiling for indoor play.
Kids love these walkie-talkies. They’re a fun way to stay in touch while playing in the backyard or around the neighborhood.
Something to Play: Family Games
Adults and kids in our extended family all love this game! It’s best for about ages 6 and up.
This sketch-and-guess game brings lots of laughs. The worse the drawings, the funnier it gets!
A family favorite in our house. It says ages 7+ but our kids loved this at ages 5 and 6 as well.
Ages 3+ and easy to travel with!
LOTS of laughs with this one.
Something to Wear: Clothes & Accessories for Kids
It gets dark so early that my kids are often still playing outside when I can no longer see them well. I got this glow beanie for my littlest so I can easily spot her, plus glow gloves for all my kids.

Something to Read: Books for Kids
Ages 3 and up:
Beginning readers: These kid-favorite books are each part of a longer series. And if you were ever into Baby-Sitters Club, it now comes in graphic novels for early readers!
Something to Learn: Educational Gifts for Kids
I’m working on teaching my kids the value of money and how to be responsible with it. I’m hoping this piggy bank, with separate slots to save, spend, donate, and invest, helps!

These reading toys are great for little ones who are learning to read.

Magnetic letters and numbers for practicing math and reading

Throwback multiplication machine
Gifts for Babies & Toddlers
You know how much fun it is to pop bubble wrap? This Dimpl toy is like colorful, reusable bubble wrap for toddlers! It fits easily in the diaper bag, makes a great sensory activity, and kids of all ages love it (all of mine, ages 1 to 6, do!).

These sensory balls will always be on my list of best gifts for a baby! Once a baby is sitting up (6+ months), they’re a perfect gift. They stimulate multiple senses, and they’re a beautiful, non-toxic toy.

This was our favorite first birthday gift for our daughter! The llama is sometimes out of stock, but this brand makes its wooden toddler activity centers in other animals too.
